We are pleased to announce another hike for the type 2 crew and anybody looking to challenge themselves.
As part of our popular Wilder Series, this hike will cover 15 km of remote, rugged terrain through one of Ontario’s most untouched landscapes. You'll get a little of everything: twisting forest paths, sweeping granite ridges, narrow boardwalks, and multiple beaver dams to scramble across. No two kilometres are the same, and every turn in the trail feels like a secret waiting to be found.
How hard is this hike? There's nothing too technically challenging, you'll be walking on semi-maintained trails and there are no scrambles. The difficulty comes from just how remote the area is, along with the distance we cover. Anyone who considers themselves fit and, perhaps most importantly, wants a challenge will find it achievable and have a memorable day out.
For those willing to take it on, the reward is huge: sweeping hilltop views, serene lakes, high solitude, an unfiltered experience of Ontario’s boreal beauty... and a well-earned sense of pride by the time we make it back to the trailhead.
