Description

Your opportunity to visit Ontario's most popular ski resort - Blue Mountain. We're running a shuttle to the resort to the day - it's up to you how you spend it. For those looking to ski or snowboard, you can register online in advance (they offer free beginner lessons) and spend a day on the slopes. It's also a great option for those who just want to visit the village with its fantastic restaurants, souvenir shops, and some of the tastiest Beaver Tails you've ever had. There are heated pools nearby if you're more interested in relaxing in the warmth with the snow all around.

If you wish to go skiing or snowboarding you will need to book rentals, ski passes, or equipment individually—those are additional costs and can be booked either on Blue Mountain's website or on-site. Pricing can change week to week, so we encourage booking all of this beforehand on their website.

We'll be bringing everyone up together so you can spend the day as a group or head off in your own separate directions. Just be back in time for the shuttle home!

Highlights

07:00 - Meet members near Keele station

09:30 - Drop people off at Blue Mountain Village and Ski Resort

17:30 - Meet members back at Blue Mountain and shuttle back to Toronto

19:45 - Expected arrival time at Keele Station

Please note, unlike our other adventures, this is just a shuttle to the location - it's up to you to organize yourself when you get there. You'll be able to see who is coming in advance and, with everyone arriving in the van at the same time, you'll get to spend the day with other WU members if you wish.

You can find more information and book online at www.bluemountain.ca

Member Organized Event Disclaimer
Member-led outings are organized by our community, not by Wilderness Union. We don’t manage the plans, staff, or safety protocols, so you join at your own risk. Please look out for yourself and one another, and have fun!

Food and Drink
You'll need to bring a packed lunch and water for any of our day trips that don't explicitly say we're making a stop at a restaurant. Where we stop at restaurants, you are responsible for the purchase of any food. Full details are available at the adventure plan, shared above on registration.

Carbon Offsetting
Wilderness Union offsets the estimated carbon emissions of every trip by investing in a global portfolio of verified carbon reduction projects.

Members Only

What to Expect on a WU Trip

Is a Wilderness Union Trip Right for You?
We offer a unique alternative to commercial tours. We don't just show you incredible natural wonders, we teach you to become confident in nature so you can discover the life changing magic of the outdoors. You'll love it here if:
- You want to make real friends, not just small talk with strangers
- You prefer "off the beaten path" over "all-inclusive resort"
- You're happy to pitch in and learn new skills (e.g., helping with camp setup or group tasks)
- You value the journey and the company as much as the destination

Who Else Will Be There
WU is aimed at a younger generation of outdoor lovers who don't see themselves represented in traditional hiking clubs and our members are typically 20-40 years old. Whether you're brand new to the outdoors or have plenty of experience, you'll find something for you.

Our Guides
All of our guides are highly qualified, passionate outdoor lovers, just like you. They love to share their knowledge and will help you see our destinations in another light, often teaching you something along the trail.
