True Wilderness: Experience the Canadian shield in all of its glory! Unmanicured, untamed and unbelievably beautiful.
Beaver Dams: Cross quiet backcountry ponds and streams along the way.
Powerful Rapids: The Black River churns through a gorge with 20–30m cliffs.
07:00 - Shuttle leaves from near Keele Station
9:30 - Meet self drivers at the trailhead
9:30 - 17:00 - Hike along the Black River and back, stopping for lunch along the way
19:30 - Anticipated return to Toronto. Drinks with the crew at a nearby bar.
Food and Drink
You'll need to bring a packed lunch and water for any of our day trips that don't explicitly say we're making a stop at a restaurant. Where we stop at restaurants, you are responsible for the purchase of any food. Full details are available at the adventure plan, shared above on registration.
