Calling all Wilderness Union foodies!
At our next monthly Cooking Club meetup, we’re excited to host a special edition. Instead of our usual cookbook theme, we’re asking you to bring your favourite dish to the party!
It can be your actual favourite dish, your best potluck offering, a dish from your culture or childhood, or even a brand-new recipe from a cookbook or source of your choice. Appetizers, desserts, snacks, drinks (non-alcoholic) all welcome, along with main dishes!
Bonus pun: feel free to bring your favourite dish (food) on your favourite dish (plate).
Whether you’re already into home cooking or you’re curious to try, join us to share and connect with fellow WU food lovers over a seriously good meal. As always, this is a no-pressure, beginner-friendly club.
Please note that this is a member-organized event.

Member Organized Event Disclaimer
Member-led outings are organized by our community, not by Wilderness Union. We don’t manage the plans, staff, or safety protocols, so you join at your own risk. Please look out for yourself and one another, and have fun!
Food and Drink
You'll need to bring a packed lunch and water for any of our day trips that don't explicitly say we're making a stop at a restaurant. Where we stop at restaurants, you are responsible for the purchase of any food. Full details are available at the adventure plan, shared above on registration.
Carbon Offsetting
Wilderness Union offsets the estimated carbon emissions of every trip by investing in a global portfolio of verified carbon reduction projects.
Members Only
Please note that you'll need an active membership at the time of your adventure to attend. If you booked during a trial that didn't continue or your membership has lapsed, you will need a new membership to attend.
Please read and understand this before registering

Other than my dish, what else do I bring?
Bring your own plate, bowl, mug, and cutlery to eat with, along with any serving utensils you need. Feel free to bring non-alcoholic beverages for yourself or to share (e.g. tea, coffee).
Where do I sign up for a recipe?
Check the Discord event thread to access the Google Doc where recommended cookbook recipes will be posted. You can see what everyone has chosen and pick one for yourself that fits the group’s menu.
