A summer evening stroll from an iconic landmark to the beach, with optional ice cream or drinks after.
Hey everyone! I’m Emily, your Wilderness Union member social volunteer 🥳 and you’re invited to our Wednesday, July 16th social—perfect for soaking up that peak summer energy.
We’ll meet at 6:00 PM at the beautiful RC Harris Water Treatment Plant, a historic Art Deco landmark known as "The Palace of Purification" (yep, a water plant with style). After taking in the views, we’ll wander west along the boardwalk toward Woodbine Beach. From there, feel free to kick back on the sand, grab a cone at Ed’s Real Scoop, or pop into a nearby pub on Queen with fellow WU folks.
Come for the full walk or join up partway—super chill, come-as-you-are vibes.
18:00 – Meet at RC Harris Water Treatment Plant (corner of Queen St E & Victoria Park Ave) - we'll be at the back on the lawn overlooking the lake
18:30 – Begin stroll west along the boardwalk
19:00–20:00 – Arrive at Woodbine Beach
21:00–22:00 – Optional: head to Ed’s Real Scoop or a nearby pub in small groups.
