We're taking an overnight trip to a secret location 2.5 hours North of Toronto for a backcountry camping trip. We'll hike in to the wilderness with all the gear we need to support ourselves on our backs. Along the way, we'll have to balance as we cross huge beaver dams, carefully descend over rock faces and tramp over granite to end up at a beautiful lake where we'll make camp. The hike in is just 5km but likely to take about 3 hours due to challenging terrain.
Once there, we'll set up camp on a semi developed campsite - there'll be a thunderbox and firepit but not much else. This is an incredible opportunity to get away for a night and feel like you've truly escaped civilisation over the weekend at a very low cost.
The trip cost includes all food - you'll have a cooked dinner on the first night, breakfast and lunch for the following day. You can bring your own tents and hammocks for this trip, please complete the gear sign up sheet if there's anything that you need to borrow from Wilderness Union.

Saturday 14th October
07:00 - Shuttle leaves from PetroCanada at Keele
09:15 - Hike in to campsite
13:00 - Set up camp. Swim, relax, stargaze
Sunday 15th October
13:00 - Leave campsite after lunch
16:00 - Begin drive back to Toronto
19:00 - Anticipated arrival back in Toronto
