The Bruce Trail boasts a 900 KM hike from end to end and is probably the most famous through-hike in Canada.
On this section of the Bruce, we'll hike a 10.8 KM loop of the Niagara Escarpment. You'll traverse different landscapes: country road, a hardwood forest along a quarry, and farmland.
Touch a bit of history as you size up beside giant kilns and a powder house left by the early settlers during the lime industry in the mid-1800's.
Hop over, climb down, or squeeze through the epic section of karst called "Hole in the Wall". Karst is a type of landscape that forms when rocks break down and dissolve forming caves and sinkholes. Please bring proper footwear - the rocks can get a bit slippery!
