We're turning the regular climb club meet into a social this month. This will be a beginner friendly night of climbing, games, and socializing at Basecamp on Bloor. We'll have 2 hours of climbing before going on to a nearby bar for a drink.
You'll pay for the evening's climbing when you get there - it's $47.46+tax for a day pass, including rentals of shoes and a harness.
This event is suitable for everybody, from beginners to more experienced climbers. There's a day pass fee of $47.25 that includes gear rental.
6:20 PM: Arrive at Basecamp on Bloor. Check in.
6:30 – 6:50 PM: Warm-up/climbing
6:50 – 8:30 PM: Climbing games
8:30 PM: Go for a drink at the nearby Paupers Pub
This custom map is georeferenced, meaning it will show you where you are on the map in the right software and lays out the rough path that we’ll be following. It’s opened with the Avenza app which must be downloaded and installed in advance of the adventure.
You should also download the What3words app - this makes it easy to share and find locations in the unlikely event that you get lost.
Climbing shoes – Included in day pass at gym
Chalk & chalk bag – Helps with grip (optional but useful - should be available at the gym or borrow from another climber).
