Trip Overview

We're turning the regular climb club meet into a social this month. This will be a beginner friendly night of climbing, games, and socializing at Basecamp on Bloor. We'll have 2 hours of climbing before going on to a nearby bar for a drink.

You'll pay for the evening's climbing when you get there - it's $47.46+tax for a day pass, including rentals of shoes and a harness.

Adventure Details

This event is suitable for everybody, from beginners to more experienced climbers. There's a day pass fee of $47.25 that includes gear rental.

Itinerary

6:20 PM: Arrive at Basecamp on Bloor. Check in.

6:30 – 6:50 PM: Warm-up/climbing

6:50 – 8:30 PM: Climbing games

8:30 PM: Go for a drink at the nearby Paupers Pub

What to Bring

Climbing shoes – Included in day pass at gym

Chalk & chalk bag – Helps with grip (optional but useful - should be available at the gym or borrow from another climber).

Comfortable athletic clothing – Stretchy and breathable

Reusable water bottle – Staying hydrated is key

Snacks – Light energy boosters (nuts, fruit, granola bars)

Tape or liquid chalk – For extra grip or if you tend to get blisters

Extras (Optional but Nice to Have)

Brush – For cleaning holds

Skin care – Hand salve or moisturizer for after climbing

Small towel – For wiping sweat or excess chalk

Climbing is an inherently risky activity. Participants are responsible for their own safety, and Wilderness Union assumes no liability for injuries or accidents
